True Blue Membership and CIA

In order to get the complete Chelsea experience you will want to consider not only CIA membership, but also True Blue membership.  However, the difference and indeed the relationship between the two can be confusing, so on this page we intend to try and help answer your questions and help you understand not only what True Blue membership is, but how it can be combined with your CIA membership for the ultimate Chelsea membership package.

What is CIA Membership?

Your membership of CIA is discussed on the Membership Application page, but in summary it allows you to be a part of something very special, and leverage the growing number of benefits that we are able to offer each season.  CIA operates to ensure the interests of Chelsea supporters in the US are represented, and is run BY Chelsea supporters in the US.  For the cost of a couple of decent beers, how can you say no?

What is True Blue Membership?

True Blue membership is operated by Chelsea FC and has traditionally been the main vehicle for obtaining early access to Chelsea match tickets at member prices through the season.  As you will see below, there are a number of other benefits, and CIA, along with other overseas supporters clubs, are constantly working with Chelsea to improve the list of features and benefits that being a True Blue member brings.

  1. Access to home tickets at the members price
  2. Ability to join us on the Spring Tour of the Bridge
  3.  Earn Team points with every purchase made at the Bridge to use on purchases at the Megastore at the Bridge. Team points do roll over year to year as long as you renew early
  4. Early ordering opportunity.  When combined with your CIA membership you have access to order your tickets in the special Supporters Club window, which is prior to them being made available to rest of the regular members
  5. If we hit our mark with the total number of True Blue members to be a Gold Club it allows CIA members to purchase away league and cup tickets also
  6. Chelsea is also working on “contests” this season for True Blue members of supporters clubs, and these will change according to Chelsea’s decision
  7. Access to the online electronic version of the Chelsea Magazine
  8. Special notifications from the club
  9. The knowledge that you are supporting the club you support
  10. CIA is given signed merchandise based on the status of our club, and we have always allowed at least one of those items to be raffled off for True Blue members only

Why Should I Want, and What are the Benefits of Having Both Together?

As you read above, CIA brings you benefits as a US based supporter, and True Blue brings you Chelsea specific benefits, but some of the benefits are ONLY available to members of an official supporters club, and some of those are only available to a GOLD level supporters club.  CIA expects to be GOLD very soon (weeks, fingers crossed) when we hit the "magic number", so by being a CIA member you can gain extra benefits from your True Blue membership that even members of smaller supporters clubs don't get.
