LA Chelsea Blues: Kids Night Out Fundraiser

LA Chelsea Vice-Captain, Mitch Ivers (i.e., Summer Tourney organizer extraordinaire), is reaching out to fellow LA Chelsea members. His employer Chivas USA (Yes, he knows most of the Angelenos are Galaxy supporters!) has a fundraiser called Kid’s Night Out. For every $10 donated, a deserving kid gets a ticket to the match, and since Chivas USA will match any donation, $10 donated means 2 kids get to watch live soccer! If that’s not incentive enough, for every $10 you donate you also receive 2 General Admission (GA) tickets for the match on Oct. 5th at the StubHub Center. (WIN WIN WIN). If LA Chelsea Blues collect $100 in donations, we can have our club name printed in the program and displayed on the big screen on matchday.

If you are interested in donating $5-$20 or so, please remit the funds via Paypal (please [email protected] to get Mitch’s Paypal email; this way, he can donate it all under the LA Chelsea name). Everyone who donates at least $10 will get their individual tickets. Mitch can arrange how to pick up your tickets, too — whether drop off or Will Call. If you are interested in making a separate donation (not under LA Chelsea name), Mitch can send you that information separately; just send him a message to the email provided above.

Why this fundraiser? Mitch is a strong advocate for youth soccer, and although this is not quite official nor expect all LA Chelsea Blues (or surrounding clubs) to participate, this could be fun to all get together for something outside of CFC. Donations are due by Oct 1st. Some LA Chelsea have already donated, but aren’t going to use their tickets so those are going to more deserving kids! Thanks in advance. UTC.
