The North East Blues (New York Blues, New Jersey Blues, Connecticut Blues, Philly Blues, Pittsburgh Blues and Boston Blues) will be getting together on February 2nd at 10 am in the Football Factory inside Legends; 6 West 33rd Street, directly south of the Empire State Building.www.footballfactoryny.com
The CT Blues will take the 08:03 train out of Milford (08:08 Stratford) (~$28) followed by the 4.5.6 subway (~$2.50) downtown ones stop to 33rd St. The Football Factory is roughly 2 blocks away.
We will be watching Chelsea’s match away to Newcastle United and holding a rally for Julie Hall. She’s 24 years old and fighting breast cancer. Currently, she’s now undergone just over half of her chemotherapy treatments and has approximately 9 more weeks to go. The Newcastle supporters, NY Toons, are aware of the event and we know they will support the cause.
We will be using our social media, Facebook and Twitter, to promote the event and will also publicize through First Touch, a free “soccer” newspaper that is handed out free in the NYC pubs. Any additional help to publicize this event would be fantastic.
The raffle tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20, 10 for $40, etc… The grand prize will be a signed 2012-13 Chelsea shirt! We also have some great runner-up prizes including Chelsea books & DVDs
